“New Flights” was my first ever short documentary. It was the moment where I stopped leaving my projects on a conceptual stage, and decided to actually take action. This film kickstarted my filmmaking portfolio and still holds a special place in me.

The documentary portrays a young dancer, Jorge Vaz, and follows his journey back to the stages, after the pandemic hit and dance shows were cancelled. The stage is the place were artists (and in this case dancers) really get their chance to shine and show everyone their work and their feelings, and this return presents the artists with both excitement and anxiety.
